The City of Aliceville is governed by a Council form of government.  The mayor along with the city council make up a six member body responsible for developing policy and procedures for the community.  The city council adopts policy and the city manager administers through various procedures.  Committees and volunteer boards are appointed by the city council including the Water & Sewer Board, Industrial Development Board, Planning & Zoning Commission, Board of Zoning Adjustment, Tree Commission, Beautification Committee, and Airport Authority.  These entities work to make the community a better place to live.
