West Alabama is a hunting/fishing enthusiast's
recreational bonanza (http://www.westalabamahuntingandfishingtrail.com/)
Aliceville Lake is where old fish go to die! Come and
catch the big ones! Aliceville Lake’s byword is “Prime Time.” The lake
offers great fishing among the scattered timber dotting much of its 8300
acres.
Aliceville also has many private game preserves and
natural environments which offer excellent quail, turkey, deer and other
game hunting, as well as fishing. Cameron’s Quail Preserve
and Cow Creek Ranch are examples of the commercial
hunting opportunities in our fertile Blackbelt region.
The Corps of Engineers offers land for public hunting. A
permit must be issued through the Corps to hunt this land.
The Chamber salutes our businesses who offer some of the
best hunting and fishing in Western Alabama.
